Potatoes On The Grill
-
5 - 6 good size Idaho potatoes with the skin left on and scrubbed well and sliced into rounds
- 4 -5 garlic cloves chopped fine (you can use more if you like garlic)
- 1 stick of butter or margarine
- 6 slices of raw bacon cut into 1" pieces
- 1 large onion chopped coarsely
- salt and pepper to taste
Use a large piece of Heavy duty foil (double sheets if regular foil), in the center alternate all of the ingredients until all used up. Fold foil to make a rectangle packet. Place on grill and cook. Will take approximately 40 - 50 minutes on a medium grill.
Note: also great in the oven or microwave. If doing in an oven, set temperature to 350 degrees and cook for about same amount of time. If cooking in the microwave, place ingredients in a casserole dish with a cover and cook on high for 10 minutes then rotate and cook for 5 minutes more. Check to see if potatoes are tender, if not cook till tender. Enjoy!
